Reaching Outcomes During Educational OpportunitiesOur theme for next year is R.O.D.E.O. which stands for Reaching Outcomes During Educational Opportunities. So we're going with a western theme. Students and faculty members will wear jeans and boot or other western clothing on Thursdays. Fridays will be reserved for district spirit days where we will all wear our Beckville Blue t-shirts or another shirt that promotes spirit for our athletic teams.
2007-2008 Faculty and StaffThe 2007-2008- School Year begins with many new changes at BSE. We would like to welcome all of the new employees of Beckville Sunset Elementary. The new teachers for this year are: Shery Hughes, Susan Harris, Sharon Ivey, Rhonda Heard and Julie McWright. The following support staff also joins BSE for the upcoming year. Melissa Anderson--Nurse's Aide, Kam Sokol--Aide, and Mary Owens--Aide.
The teaching assignments for the 2007-2008 school year are: Pre-K: Mrs. Develin and Mrs. Tarjick, Kindergarten: Mrs. Alexander, Mrs. Moon and Mrs. Vandegriff, 1st Grade: Mrs. Ogden, Mrs. Goddard and Mrs. Peavy, 2nd Grade: Ms. Carr, Mrs. Gill and Mrs. Tate, 3rd Grade: Mrs. Harris and Mrs. Hughes, 4th and 5th Grades: Mrs. Heard, Mrs. Wise, Mrs. Robertson and Mrs. Hayles, Band: Mr. Ashcraft, Fine Arts: Mrs. Ivey, Special Education: Mrs. Burgess and Mrs. McWright and PE: Coach Dennard and Coach Ballenger.

New website design
The Beckville website has just undergone a big transformation as we adjust to the information age. We will now post an updated calendar for each campus as well as a district calendar. We hope to keep parents and community members as up to date as possible of the happenings at BISD. Each teacher is now able to provide information to parents on their personal class page.
